a work attribute to Ernie Bull c.1987

 All the years
of struggle
over the sand dunes
to my modest home.

All the days spent
in arctic waters
foraging for morsels
to tantalise you.

All the time
hoping to please you
to bring a little joy
into our lives.

All over now,
I end it all
here in this cast -
Tempting you now
from the other side
of a sweet grave
